PURPOSE

The Health Sciences Associate of Science (AS) degree is for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in a health science program such as public health, community health or kinesiology. 

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES  

  • Demonstrate ability to provide collaborative care
  • Demonstrate basic lab skills
  • Apply scientific method and related principles to make informed decisions and engage with issues related to health environments
  • Practice professional behaviors in order to provide quality care and best practices in the healthcare setting

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  • General college curricular admission

This degree satisfies the requirements for the Uniform Certificate of General Studies (UCGS). Specific UCGS courses or elective options are identified in the program roadmap.
