WEL 160 - Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG and FCAW)Credit Hours: 3 Introduces semi-automatic welding processes with emphasis on practical application. Includes the study of filler wires, fluxes, and gases. Introduces practical operations in the use of gas metal arc welding and equipment. Studies equipment operation setup, safety, and practice of semi-automatic welding processes.
Lecture Hours: Lecture 2 hours. Recitation and Laboratory Hours: Laboratory 3 hours. Semester(s) Offered: Fall Spring Prerequisites: WEL 120 , SAF 130 and WEL 150 . Notes: An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course.
