AUT 183 - Steering, Suspension, and Handling - OEMCredit Hours: 4 Presents steering and suspension systems. Introduces diagnostic procedures emphasizing performing basic tire, steering and suspension service. Develops techniques to diagnose, locate, and repair faults in advanced steering and suspension systems, such as tire pressure warning systems, electric power steering systems, advanced driver assist system calibration, and alignment. This course is intended for students in an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) training program.
Lecture Hours: Lecture 2 hours. Recitation and Laboratory Hours: Laboratory 8 hours. Prerequisites: Acceptance and good standing in the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) training program and AUT 181 - Electrical I - OEM . Notes: An additional career and technical education course specific fee of $25.00 per credit hour applies to this course. This price is discounted 50% to $12.50 per credit hour for the 2026-2027 academic year only.
