PURPOSE
The Cloud Computing Career Studies Certificate (CSC) curriculum is designed for students who:
- Seek employment in the field of cloud computing
- Currently work in the field and want to increase their knowledge and update their skills
- Need to augment abilities in other fields with knowledge and skills in cloud computing
OCCUPATIONAL OBJECTIVES
The Cloud Computing CSC prepares students for entry-level opportunities as:
- Cloud system administrator
- Cyber information security specialist
- Developer
- Programmer

STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES
- Examine network and virtual infrastructure
- Maintain Linux-based systems through installation, configuration, and scripting
- Identify common security threats and industry best practices for securing cloud resources
- Analyze compliance requirements, such as HIPAA and GDPR
- Describe the operation of data centers and servers within the cloud
- Apply core components of cloud architecture, including virtualization, networking, and storage

PROGRAM NOTES
- The Cloud Computing CSC fulfills the IT concentration electives in the Information Systems Technology Associate of Applied Science degree
- IT courses used for this program may not be more than 10 years old
- Students should check their advisement report in SIS and meet with their faculty advisor
